The Obsession...
Pictures of English Angora first caught my attention when I was thumbing through a dusty rabbit book at library. I recall driving my beat up Honda Accord from Terre Haute to Indianapolis, IN to get my first show rabbits from Sharon Mays. I had 60 English Angoras while attending college!!! I didn't know how I graduated. My mind was certainly not about school.
I love the hobby so much that I decided to become a rabbit registrar. I passed the test in the fall of 2007. I am still undecided if I should pursue the judging license. I am dabbling with various breeds to gain appreciation for the unfamiliar.
The breeds I raise today are Holland Lop, Mini Satin, French Lop, Tan, Polish & Jersey Wooly. I like to narrow the concentration to just 2 breeds, but it's like saying I need to get rid of beautiful blossoms in my garden. Much easier said than done.
I think that was 1987. I was skinny and had a mullet. Angora National, Indianapolis.
Meagan - My first homegrown champion. English Angora used to have a face.
